Across the United States the issue of minimum wage, or "living wage" has become a hot topic.

Does an increase in the minimum wage lift all boats as in a rising tide?

Or, it is just another failed attempt by government to manage the economy?

As the chart clearly shows as the minimum wage laws are enacted, unemployment rises often substantially.  Please note that youth employment is especially hit very hard by minimum wage laws.
