ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Tyler Shewey is an attorney with the law firm of Berliner Cohen in San Jose, where he counsels both individuals and business entities on a wide range of tax and business matters. Mr. Shewey grew up in San Jose, and was graduated from Piedmont Hills High School before earning a B.A. from UCLA, J.D. from University of Pennsylvania, and LL.M. in Taxation from New York University. His tax practice includes both tax transactions and tax controversy before the IRS, Franchise Tax Board, and State Board of Equalization. His business practice includes contracts, business formation, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.
